In 2015, he was staging INFERNO, the opening show for the bicentenary of the legendary Battle of Waterloo, a huge show in the middle of the fields and bringing together more than 300 re-enactors, fifty horses and 250 artists. At the EuBea Festival 2015 in Seville, the bicentenary events, produced and organised by VO COMMUNICATION and VERHULST EVENTS & PARTNERS, has won 8 awards including the Best European Event, Best Cultural Event and Best Creative Director. At the Hougoumont Farm, Luc PETIT created a multimedia space and he restored the battle between Napoleon and Wellington thanks to the three moving large bas-relief.
His imagination has given rise to the NOCTURNALES, a new concept of heritage operas, developed with Michel TEHEUX who wanted to highlight the architectural wealth of cathedrals and patrimonial buildings. The NOËL DES CATHÉDRALES tour, and now LES FÉERIES DE BELOEIL are some illustrations of his imagination. In December 2019, the association has organised the fabulous show LES ROUTES DE LA LIBERTÉ for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
Luc PETIT also created urban operas such as DECROCHER LA LUNE, the underground light and sound show ORIGIN at the caves of Han and parades, including one dedicated to Jean Paul GAULTIER in Montreal, in collaboration with Danielle ROY. Together, they were responsible for the artistic co-direction of the outdoor part and the street arts FESTIVAL JUSTE POUR RIRE.
Since 2012, the musical inspired by the story of PETER PAN – featuring a mixture of dance, singing, acrobatics, lighting effects and videos – conceptualized by Luc PETIT and his team as the biggest video mapping show for arenas, is continuing his success with a world tour and has already been welcomed by hundreds of thousands of showgoers in Europe, but also in Dubai, Doha, Singapore and Taipei.
In April of 2019 took place the big premiere of the QING SHOW in Qingdao (China), a permanent show based on the legend of the Eight Immortals and presented in a theatre for 1500 people which was specially built for that purpose to present a unique scenography never seen before in East Asia.
A true magician of theatre arts, Luc PETIT combines all the most innovative disciplines and technical means to present, at each show, stunning atmospheres that nevertheless remain within the context of his artistic and human approach.
