After captivating more than 135,000 spectators in Brussels and Amsterdam, Music Hall Group‘s new production, under the artistic direction of Geert Allaert and staged by Luc Petit, will be crossing the skies of the United Kingdom in summer 2013.
This show is much more than just a musical. The audience will discover a magical world where dance, song, comedy, acrobatics, lighting and video effects intermingle to bring to life this original version of the story about the little boy who doesn’t want to grow up.
But you don’t have to be a child to enter into this wonderful universe. Whilst the youngest ones will be enthralled by the impressive Captain Hook, the delightful Wendy and the dainty Tinker Bell, the adults will be carried away by the symphonic wonders especially composed for the show by Matt Dunkley (Pirates of the Caribbean, Moulin Rouge) and will recognise some twenty worldwide hits sung by Peter Pan and his friends, led by Lulu Aertgeerts in charge of the vocal coaching and acting.
Angels by Robbie Williams, Dreamer by Supertramp, I am sailing by Rod Stewart, and Kiss from a rose by Seal feature among many others in the show.
No less than 50 actors, singers, acrobats and stunt artists will perform on the 1600 m2 stage under the leadership of the choreographer Martino Müller (Notre-Dame de Paris, Cirque du Soleil) in a continuously changing set thanks to Dirty Monitor’s skilful video mapping.
The characters will fly through the air amidst this completely original 3D set with the help of wires but also a turbine that will allow Peter Pan to rise freely 10 m from the ground!
With the stage buzzing with different activities, the audience – sitting in the round – will be plunged into the heart of the action.
For this spectacular, Luc Petit has chosen to use new technologies to render this imaginary world even more enchanting, a world where Peter Pan will take young and old on a voyage lasting almost two and a half hours.
An exceptional event to add a magical touch to the festive season and awaken the child in us all.
