“This is not red, this is Thalys”, was the audacious remark made in the speech of Olivier Poitrenaud – Managing Director of Thalys, drawing inspiration from Magritte.
It was in Brussels that the trains’ new livery, the fruit of some interior and exterior restoration, was presented to some 500 or so guests.
Transformed into a gigantic show hall, the TGV (HST) maintenance depot housed a truly explosive show: clowns, dancers, acrobats and magicians of fire opened the way to the new Thalys.
That’s what you-call laying out the red carpet!
